THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

Rob Ayling writes:

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth, Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied with in seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not? why not indeed!!" (The wondrous poetpic is by Jack McCabe, who I hope forgives me for scribbling all over it with Photoshop)

The WHERE of HOW and the WHO of WHY

and to LOOK is not to SEE.Ageing friends resile/retire
World of Battle Fields.Historical Monuments freeze frame fame
Rights dissolve in military options.Official vandalism is terrorism (again
Civil civilians -we weave among traffic/rest pedestrian /bicycle solutions
Celebration our roses/thorns our gardens.Conversation tongues wag villages
We seek community by any means necessary-poetry flowers, bee songs, bird wings
Beauty our agent/harmonies our badge.Naked Emperors dispute /we smile/sad
when Memorials for friends hold them so temporary in our flaming attention spans
Past soup will not do-warm the coals and embers of your brave suits
A circle is forming-we are back in orbits over obits.Lift off,up and away-
this world of radioactive Kryptonite cancers fear today.BE BRAVE!
