THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth, Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied with in seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. THERE IS A REASON FOR CIRCUSES

to consolidate and present spectacles of WIZARDS and DRAGONS

with mostly live human acts representing wild tigers of emotion

elephant wisdom,jumping through hoops like lawyers

contracting with audiences to represent the PERFECTLY IMPOSSIBLE in 2013

like hitch hiking ,irrepressible optimism,astonishing agility

and abilities to survive peacefully and in harmony with each other

like boy bands continue to reincarnate even when adult

and Disney stars turn to porn and torture pop ,heavy metal replacing folk

Everything mutates.Everyone morphs.Suburbs become cities.Real estate cages

So we need circuses to prove we can still jump through fiery hoops

leap over daily debts and discharge duties rather than guns.This is why we still come

to the conclusion about politics.And ringmasters.And animal survivalisms.
