TROY DONOCKLEY, Ade Edmondson and Andy Dinan, collectively known as The Bad Shepherds, combine punk and folk to create a 'glorious racket'.
It was Edmondson's ale-informed decision to purchase a mandolin, paired with his love for punk, which initially galvanised the Shepherds into a musical force.
The trio have recently returned from an Australian tour of their third album, Mud, Blood & Beer, only to grace the bright lights of Falmouth with their own blend of punk-folk. From behind a bottle of Cornish ale, a tongue-in-cheek Edmondson reminded his crowd of their religious obligations the following Sunday morning, before thrashing out Anarchy In The UK on his mandolin. Other renditions of punk classics included The Stranglers' 1977 hit No More Heroes and, from the same year, The Clash's White Riot.
