THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth, Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied with in seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. YOU UNDERSTOOD,THEN OVERSTOOD,THEN STOOD AROUND

until perspective could find a place of common ground

You listened,absorbed,shared,responded from your own life

so we could find a way around.Isolated "i"needs every other vowel-

"o!"of surprise,"U"of undo,"A!"of astonishment and "e"for energy applied

Then there are all the accessory other letters-consonantal and consequential

U R part of every I.O!-are U so surprised?Language is a bridge

If i listen long enough,I can hear U in every part of WE!

(and -yes-this is as much about U as it is about me...
