THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

Rob Ayling writes: 

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth, Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied with in seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. EX-CHRISTMAS

HAVING DONE OUR DUTY(and been done-

by Sloth,Greed,Baal and Mammon

Sacrificial turkeys sliced up

Good cheer swallowed down

We have become those waddling turkeys

We carry what we devour and consume

We toast the moon,drink sparkle sunshine

Snore when MORE is no longer an option

Childhood memories of trees and presents

become plates and mess to be cleaned up

Downside of detritus(we are our planet-

and soon we will have filled our frames

and the round belly of this earth will open up

and either eat us -or  belch us out!

Then i woke up-it was the turkey!

Tryptophan tripping inside of me/seeking release!
