Yes drummer Alan White has revealed the band could have tied up with Jon Davison sooner than they did – if the vocalist had only left his phone number.
The band hired Benoit David in 2008 after deciding to move on without original frontman Jon Anderson, then replaced him with Glass Hammer‘s Davison in 2012. Yes are currently working on a new album while continuing their three-album tour of North America.
White tells Jam: “Benoit’s voice wasn’t making it through the tour and things like that, and we thought, ‘Well, we’ve got to do something anyway,’ so Jon came out of the woodwork.
