THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied with in seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not? why not indeed!!" SOME PEOPLE ARE TRANSISTORS

part of a circuit that makes transmission of sound possible

some are cases/that encompass all the parts

a few are amplifiers-taking tiny sounds/making them larger

so more folk can hear properly/good examples

of a community with many parts/many aspects.

You see-some of us have antique aspects-

we are valve radio/crystal radio sets

We are low wattage community radio collectives

We are volunteers holding ourselves together

and by so doing/broadcasting the best we can offer

to consenting sentients with ears wide open

This is what we do.This is where we are.

We make the good larger
