THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied with in seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not? why not indeed!!" ANSWERS IN A BOX

Take the pill!Take a card(any card!)

Trucker pills,party-popping pills,contraceptives ,antibiotics,recreational and prescription pills

If it comes in the form of a tablet-TAKE 3 TIMES A DAY.Forget the side effects-

credit card bankruptcy,shopping therapy,plastic addiction.Slap that plastic down

and CONSUME!(yes,consumption was also a disease/one for which there is no pill-

unless it is a sugar pill,a placebo-some Stevia laced little white tablet

that takes away the pain of consumer envy .Just as homeless roll out shopping trolleys

full of detritus,we take the side-effects of authorized purchasing power /high interest rates

bills that tower over tiny incomes,until all we can say is"GIVE PILLS A CHANCE!"
