Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied with in seconds!!! WARS & WIVES

You know of TEMUJIN

for a Great (Mongol)Empire /war born long ago

but did you know he did "bride-service"?

that his first wife (BORTE)was older than him

and initiated him in sexual intimacies?

@the age of nine,his father(YESUGEI)

who had another(older)son (BEGTER)

by his first wife (SOCHIGEL)

took this future Genghis Khan

from his mother (HOELUN)

across the ONON River

where he camped with a family

whose daughter liked Temujin

Intimate relationships affect macro-alliances

We know Genghis Khan for wars and Empires

Less for his growth through intimacies and desires..
