THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied with in seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not? why not indeed!!" WILDE ROSES,VOLUNTEER TOMATOES

entwined late pumpkins with vivid scar flowers

Scorched earth summer garden has Noble Exceptions-

Where weeds have crept across Borders without Passports

those planted in elder seasons feel emotional drought.

Closed System world."We must learn to live together or die"

Today i detergented two waterholes/added my waste to another.

WATERHOLE EMERGENCY!Plastic water bottles are now plastic water.

Those selling what they do not own will be forced to consume what they make.

Fences surround private property.Here,rich houses have their own wells,taking public waters

Sipping from Lakes ,stealing from Springs and streams.No wonder water is tired!

It used to rise up like crops.Syria serious drought.Emigres later,Iraq on fire.Unnatural heat.

White phosphorus in Gaza and in Lebanon.No one dare speak gardens in a war zone

But this is where we came from-just like those waves of bodies seeking sanctuary

Garden of Eden,between Tigris &Euphrates=our beginnings.Myths later

bombs,drones,Armageddon.I speak Hanging Gardens of Babylon.Seeds later..
