"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. 

It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied with in seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

FOR OUR FOUNDING FATHERS

For the Myths of Patuxet (Plymouth)

For Squanto and the Wampanoag

Even for Massasoit!  For capricious history

that gives us fat turkey with cranberry sauce

Translates into Shopping in Mecca Malls for Baal and Mammon

For Consumerism and NO SHOPPING DAY

For GO VEGAN @THANKSGIVING and pardoning selected turkeys

For the release of wild turkeys into wilderness

and the release of all myths apart from GRATITUDE

as we zoom past Black Friday,Cyber Monday

with only 25 shopping days to Xmas..

Dare we ask why and how Solstice and Yule 

became suborned by Mega-Malls?
