THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

ANCIENT FOLK IDEAS RESURRECT!

Fruit trees ,so homeless might pluck sustenance for free

Planting  varieties so no one goes homeless hungry

We have at least  2000 hungry each night(more uncounted-

Festival Beach  has seeds and sprouts and saplings rising like hope

like those Tiny Homes /Urban Farms/Permacultures-as a way out of hardcore death streets

where those pledged to SERVE&PROTECT prosecute and harass

'It is a crime to be poor when the rich own the laws"

The answer is Earth .To grow spaces and places as sanctuary

for those dispossessed by PTSD,broken families,split minds

or the failure of Social Security to cover the illegal ,anonymous and unknown.

Tiny houses.Growing food trees.Green Trust in  natural,positive solutions.

Let those windblown apples sustain us.May the human harvest live longer-

sustained and sheltered ,via Tiny Hopes-shelter and sustenance..
