"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

YOU SEE(WE HAVE ALREADY BEEN

on the surface of the moon

and in orbit round that orb

and this changes everything!

Once,this bone cold ivory rock

spun in space from a poetic distance

Now we have photos and moon rocks

under our immediate gaze.Movies made

incorporating actual space footage.

No longer dare we stare from a poetic distance

Science takes over,presents video evidence

No "man "on the moon.No "green cheese"

Wallace &Grommit replaced by NASA space tapes

Romance always enhanced by an element of distance

O well-perhaps now we can fall in love

with a Mission to Mars...
