THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

Rob Ayling, yer Gonzo Grande Fromage, writes:

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

Summer Solstice 2016
"SOMER IS ACUMIN IN!   SING CUCKOO!"
Heat is here.Swelter and song.
Soon moon will be foolish enough to come
Out in to a summer sky/stars banished by city lights
We feel these heated seasons in this midway point
Summer tilts its crazy heat wheelbarrow humidities
upon the heats of those who thirst for only waters
We will drink to the skies above and stars within us
We will toast this toasting weather/and trust
that Solstice will sustain us/as we celebrate
more than surviving these strange seasons.
We make joy in absolute Being/and in so being
Becoming Attuned to Solstice(day AND night!

Darkness AND Light!
