THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

Are they emptying the Louvre

to keep art's past dry?

Has our Seine broken banks?

Like Barton Springs ,Lady Bird Lake

Like the Colorado River ,like dam floodgates

open/opening to release.We/we are banned

from Lake Travis in uncertain weather like this.

Drowned.Cars float .Tubers don't.Bodies are found.

Rain .Thunder.Lightning. Love illuminates our clouded skies.

Eyes look UP to see water fall down.FLASH FLOOD warnings abound.

Love is a wild horse.Rain falls.We rise.Dark of night

we take comfort in water's rise.For Normal means Drought-

but not with this much liquidity about..Rise to the storm

Weather this one.Unknown is coming.Sends down waterfalls .

We rise.
