Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Abacus  abolished numerical literacy

Written stories destroyed  apocryphal and oral 
Memory stolen by tape recorders

Hearing by radio,vision by television

Replacement of folk art by "professionals"

Galleries became auction houses

Each step forward steals pasts

Cars reduce walking

GOOGLE displaces imagination 

like Disney destroys fairy tales

 by replacing our perceptions with specific images 

Imagination now a graphic novel or digital movie

Conversation now Instagram,Skype ,Text or Tweet 

and do not ask how outdoor activities 

have been disrupted by POKEMON GO!

History becomes a glass Museum 

We become robotic/prone to programing 

Until the next disruptive technology displaces us..
