THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

EVERY BODY STOPS

SOMEWHERE.SOME STOP@THE BEATLES

Others @Frank Sinatra.Some stop @cigarettes,others Coca-Cola.

Still more say LEGALIZE MARIJUANA.or heroin,or powders.

It is not just what we consume.Some say STOP TPP.

Others wish banks  would cease foreclosings.Others dream co-operatives

and stop at profit-making enterprises.Some lives are second-hand/some recycled.

NEW is not necessarily BETTER,nor is NOW the BEST time to live.So folk

in their wisdom praise Nostalgia,tint memories with sepia,and fog forget

Depressions,Recessions,Disasters and Deaths.Your old shoes will do.

Your suit?It does not need to be new.You can make do with old philosophies 

and these religions you believe  in have been warring for thousands of years.....
