Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Libraries are a love affair with learning/

de facto community learning centers..so

When i hear that global warming will reduce coffee output-

that the "bean belt"of Columbia,Mexico,Brazil,Ethiopia and Vietnam

is considering investing in a "gene bank"to preserve genetic diversity in Arabica coffee

that "variety catalogues"exist to show beans "pest resistances"/yields and ability to thrive

that a "sensory lexicon"will evaluate new coffee bean varieties to ensure palatability

i realize even i will have to adapt..In the light of future lack,poetry may have to return to Libraries

rather than coffee shops,and we may simply have to return

to drinking cups of tea.Slowly.Sip this one..
