THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

IF WE ARE NUMBED DOWN / DUMBED DOWN

If we are not aware of what has happened before

If we are not intuiting what is happening now

If we shut down to what our future holds

Our dreams are seeds of future harvests

Our pasts are Parables and Portents

Our present is a powerfilled panorama

in which our eyes see things as they really are

Our ears hear sounds they have not heard before

Our whole body awakens to a new understanding-

that both dreams and nightmares are real

and we choose which scenario we wish to engage

All things are happening @all times.Voice is choice

Sing your way through each asteroid day

Each meteor morning,every planetary evening.

We are both part and apart/life and art

We matter-but we are more than matter.

We are focused will and intention,aligned in harmony

with every other particle consciousness,contradicting us.
