THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

ENOUGH

to settle in the saddle of each day

to ride until distance is a dream

to be content with weed and wander

AS IS sold,bought,exchanged,,delivered

OR we can jump on pins

find salvation via pain

set impossible standards

fail and fail again.Choice

is multi-dimensional dolphins-

business is shark efficiency.

Between the two,i prefer angels

both their myth and their efficacy-

those willing agents of optimism

who ground me in the air of joy

whose kindness redeems

everyone and everything

awaits that sense of wonder

which settles in /makes this world

THE ONLY ONE WE HAVE

and we do not own,dominate,possess,control

Just this butterfly moment/and the wings that come

given to everyone who flies in through that birth canal..
