THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

Rob Ayling, yer Gonzo Grande Fromage, writes: 

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

AS IF THIS NEVER HAPPENED

AS IF YOU NEVER LIVED

(The unremembered life is not worth repeating

like those things that cling to your fingers

You cannot give them away,so they stay

occupying your conscience and your room

until there is no room for you anymore

and you must move to another space

(And even then,memory is selective

Parts of your life are crumbling infrastructure

You have no longer energy to anger

nor to waste with others to whom you are invisible

This is a an AMBER ALERT,not a RED FLAG

You pass through the portals and passages

re-learn your passwords and computer codes

find yourself in a  new scenario-as if this one

never actually happened..
