It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Peck at a ribbon typewriter

Memories of carbon paper.Xerox.

Slow woodpecker tap tap tap of Jack Kerouac

"That's not WRITING!.That's TYPING!"

And the worship of the rolled scroll

Unveiled for students of the Arcane

whose Ancestors left stories as clues

for a lifestyle that is no longer new

but was Beat seeds for a birthed personal truth.

Easy to hate.Disdain over distance.Even now,

we nibble at BEAT  beats,making caricatures

of snapped fingers and bongos in coffee shops

and Universal Black for love of jazz and drugs

Our eyes are screened for Security.

Our fingers Tweet each early morning

Our Temporary Emperor makes human errors

Who can erase such mistakes?Johnny Depp?
