"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

Then "OCCUPY"...Now "RESIST"....Then "PERSIST"

Every movement needs a symbol

A color a shape a form to identify with

Something a group can relate to.(#MeToo.#ItsTime)

Names can become icons-like "Post-Weinstein"

"Post-Watergate",Post-War"-until STAR WARS become SPYGATE

and we do not stop to examine the abuse of labels."ORGANIC"

does not mean what you think-nor "NATURAL"ingredients.

Outbreaks of e coli and salmonella become pandemics.

Food standards become as adulterated as McDonalds

Recalls become as common as insurgencies.

The WAR ON DRUGS becomes a WAR ON POVERTY

morphs into a WAR ON HOMELESSNESS

and we become victims -of the WAR ON LANGUAGE

which is also a WAR ON METAPHOR&MEANING..
