THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

THE MORE WE KNOW/THE MORE WE SHARE

But only with those who are still here..

and sometimes with those who were there..

The beauty of years is accumulated stories

But like water-they need both shelter and containers

To speak to a baby is oohs and aah!and gurgle and smile

To speak to a child is comic book style

To speak with youth -a graphic novel

To speak to a young adult-movies and media

To speak to a full adult-almost equality-If

they have experienced parallel realities

I do not understand nor comprehend Depressions/World Wars

(All my wars are "police actions",ongoing,guerrilla and drone..)

And i do not speak Smartphone,nor App,nor Robo-lingua

Here we are-separated by experience .Unless and until our data match

We will be singles in a tennis match for doubles.ACED AGAIN!
