THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

NOW THAT YOU ARE GONE

I GIVE PRAISE TO THOSE DAYS

When we had time and energy to burn

so we lit candles @both ends-ferocious

Now is empty hole in bucket time travel

We have a Bank of Memories to withdraw interest on

And they are specific to our unique selves

Others do not even know of which we speak

That is how i get through hollow point days/empty moon nights

with only the bank of flowers that you built,petal by petal..

The lines of ghost memoirs build in mountains and in caves

When we recite the passage of familiars

Others look@us with question marks

Always ,we start again-Blank page.Empty Stage

The Play re-written for a newer film.
