THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

WHY SHOULD WE LISTEN TO A LEMUR?

Those chickens,clucking,headed to an abattoir?

Snake that would only bite in gratitude?

Shark who needs a good Press Agent!

Crocodiles(who are Protected Species)

and Spiders who act as lobbyists in politics...

Many of these are Endangered Species.

We humans think we own ,dominate and control them

Put them in cages and sell them in markets like cats and dogs and horses

But there are more bugs than us!More fleas,rats ,more cockroaches..

They will not listen to us!Call in the Exterminators!

Make sure the ones we keep are edible!
