THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

THE SEA IS IN LOVE WITH THE LAND

BUT THE LAND IS IN LOVE WITH THE SKY

And the trees have their roots in the earth

But their leaves compost and mulch

Earth cracks in drought and by fracking

Water wants to be free of plastics/radioactivity

Ends up in plastic/sold as a commodity

But the sea is still in love with the sky'

and the earth is in love with the forests

And we live within this great love affair

that makes for Saharas and Amazons..

Love is like this-floods and drought

Hunger and release.And when we are Elemental,

everything is in love with you.
