THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

ALREADY IT IS HAPPENING

Retro-Mania in the media

Saturated with syrupy shopping soundtracks

We look back @2018,as if it has already finished

Soon it will be New Year mania,with Old Man Santa

replaced by bouncing baby boy New Year

Those Christmas lights?EMERGENCY vehicles

or Red Light gridlocked holiday traffic

Those parcels under Shopping Mall trees are empty promises

Still,there is residual carol singing

A Festive glow of gluttony/a sprinkle of weird weather

And happy cards sent to remind those you love

you are still alive-despite the high rate of suicides over December...
