THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

in Sacred Winter Season.Fires (interior)warm the stillness

Shopping stops(pre- and post-sales)

Doors close /families within/gourmandising

Perhaps desultory fireworks in South Austin.

Traffic.Accidents.Cars collide like meteors.

All these Lights!(with vehicles beside them)

Trail of Parking .Stare at STAR WARS

What has Christmas to do with inflatables?

Strung Lights struggle /blinking,uncertain.

Stock Market dives like a shutdown.

Tis the Season.To stop.Meditate.

Scrooge?or Grinch?BAH! or HUMBUG?

Throw hope as projected trust into this dead Calendar.

Maybe a New Year?Perhaps Bethlehem this year?

Palestine with walls around.Soon we will have our own..
