THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

Rob Ayling, yer Gonzo Grande Fromage, writes:

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

AFTERNOON SLEEPS/NIGHT AWAITS
SMALL BLUE EARTH-
Space Rock!

HATE RECYCLES LOST LOVES
Into anger and grief

ALL DAY LONG /I SIT IN THE SUN
Until it melted.

MANGOES,FALLEN,BRUISED
Foreign movies,unseen.

STRANDED OVERNIGHT
Morning's delayed flight.

OUTSIDE IMAGINARY BORDERS
Passport Free Zone!

YOU STILL HAVE OLD STORIES
Sticking to your inside.

HOLE IN THE ROOF OF MY LIFE
Lets Light in.

WILDFLOWERS AROMAS EXCITE EYES
Visual Paradise!

EVEN BITTER APPLES
Make sweet cider

YOU/SMALL.PARENTS/TALL
Until age reverses.

LIGHT GLOBE DIMS
Morning sun rises.

THOSE PASSED/RELY UPON US
To praise them

NIGHT SO DARK
My eyes grew holes.

YOUR LIPS/THROUGH WHICH
The door of your mind/opens.

YOU CARRY THE FLAG OF OPINIONS
@half-mast.
