Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

WHEN VIOLENCE STEALS PEACE

Victims seek compensation.Lawyers cream monies,

as in negligence cases.Money does not replace lost ones.

It does not change the facts of murder,rape,exploitation.

Restorative justice would see bison released to Plains,

wild creatures to wilderness.Rehabilitation for victims of violence,

preferably provided via predators.Traditional Lands would be returned to tribes.

Slavery on all levels abolished.Legislation is a start.Community support essential.

Kindness ,equality,respect -the food upon which all futures rely.

Money pays for bandages,but wounds still need healing.

Balance of resourcing is a start-justice means more than environmental fines.

Ask Bhopal.Exxon Valdez.Fukushima.Pine Ridge.Earth needs healing,

as does water,and the very air we share.Start here...
