THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

I bring bubbles and balloons to blow up

In a convivial and party sense,to share celebration.

The balloons are large and colorful when inflated.

They amuse the poets,musicians,comedians present-

but at the end of the night,they are stamped out

so as not to distract the future acts upon that stage.

I have to accept that mortality fact,and bring in new balloons each week..

Sometimes,artists incorporate the balloons into their act.

Sometimes,balloons are taken home as mementos.

Many of these balloons are MADE IN CHINA.

Am i missing something here?
