Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

SO MANY FATHERS(SO MANY ELDERS)

Grandfather Stationmaster whose Irish pot belly

rollicked with laughter every time we met

Father of Work and Sweat,whose many jobs kept us fed

Elder exemplars,whose bright wisdom guided we young

Friends of Age ,who always knew more than our young songs

Strangers who entered our lives,to add more than before

Fictional fathers -"FATHER KNOWS BEST/MY THREE SONS"

in black and white sharing cliches and homilies easy as ads.

And you who knew more than we-and shared so easily

This is paean of praise for your fine friendliness

Revealing (by example)-how to live our lives
