THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth, Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied with in seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. THE BEAUTIFUL THING

about creativity-it does not need to be believed!

A storm,a rose,a garden,weeds,an ashtray,dogs,trees,lights-

it is as if the Circus comes to town!Beer,smoke,laughter,chatter

add to the pub truth-we remember and forget simultaneously

All these lines,stories,songs,poems,lies,fables-are all beginnings.

They follow silver snail trails into back gardens

where Art and Life collide over Bills.Eternal this/

clash of prose and poetic!Bird cannot afford rent for nest

nor borrowed wings for sky.Tree cannot afford leaves,nor family branches

Gets tree wilt.Cries.Yet sprigs of green mean new trees Spring forth

Cycles repeat /never the same.Holy Earth!Holy Sky!Holy Water!Holy Fire!
