JOEY MOLLAND: RTM Belgium review (translated)

If the work of Badfinger discovered by Beatle Paul McCartney has caused a bit of know that this band is not spared from problems . Indeed, the suicide of composer / bassist Tom Evans ( 19/11/1983 ) and singer Pete Ham ( 24/04/1975 ) that made Badfinger hit a bit into oblivion .

Badfinger became famous for " Come And Get It ," " No Matter What ", " The Magic Christian' - length album from the film of the same title , but she also wrote the smash hit " Without You " which Harry Nillson his bank account steadily height saw go . After the death of the aforementioned musicians Joey Molland continued calmly with Badfinger in various line- ups .

Given Joey actually a bit of growing up under a Memphis Sound now it seemed appropriate to him there to record a Longplayer.

With 'Back To Memphis' get a nice album which we find a mix of bluesy rock and some tinged songs . So we get a very varied album of songs all penned by Molland . For the production drew Carl "Blue" Wise .

Of the ten new songs almost all the songs were demanding our attention : the opening " Walk Out In The Rain ' , the brilliant ' A Love Song ' , the swinging ' Frank & Me ' all meet the criteria if the real numbers were Badfinger . Variation widely and the whistleblowing ' Got A Feeling ' and the beautiful ' Hero' is the same dream again . Even "Is It A Wonder ' , ' All I Ever Dreamed " and " Still I Love You " this handsome new release Molland decision , we can safely say that we do not hear Joey Molland but a musical Badfinger . Only downside we found: the voice of Joey not as in tune as it was then , but that he could solve by proposing the vocals of a young singer .

In summary , this musically - again a masterpiece but if someone else had taken the vocals we can talk about a real gem .

Joey Molland , originally from Liverpool , has many years settled back in the U.S. and performs under the name Joey Molland 's Badfinger with Mark Healey ( bass / vocals) , Steve Wozny ( keys / vocals) and Mike Ricciardi (drums ) .
