THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied with in seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not? why not indeed!!" GREEK FIRE

If democracy was a Greek export,it is not the only one-

art,sculpture,mathematics,music,philosophy,astronomy,rhetoric-

all have names of founders ,propounders,extenders,pretenders

living,breathing amongst the ruins of Western Civilization..

Toula,Nula,Roula.John Carras(thenasis,Theo Sidiroupoulos-

all with spark,panache,passion and wit/with singular individuality

made their way into the fires of today.They are our "Mediterranean Diet!"

Feta cheese,olives,calamari,salad-what you eat you are!

Small villages of diversity with no agreement@all-

only a Zorba intensity to treat people fairly.Do you doubt their bravery ?

when the rest of us are enslaved to militarism and bankruptcy!
