Sometimes we are saved via synchronicities

through the heart of a butterfly /but a Bible

stopped that assassin's bullet,and we lived

you would need  a safe car,a Smartphone,toll tag

and a form of income producing that covers all bills

Little villages do not demand such basic requirements

but this seems to be becoming  a Universal Basic Requirement

Of course,you could choose to live OFF-GRID/OFF THE ROAD

In an RV or in a tent under overpasses-but that is a fragile lifestyle..

Trust there are spaces where such rules do not apply-seek them out!

ALL MY CATS ARE FERAL

THEY ONLY STAY FOR FOOD(&AFFECTION)

My latest and last cat was the very last cat at the Refuge

No one wanted TOOTS-she snarled and snapped and hissed and bit

anyone who dared to come close..So we said -"THAT'S OUR CAT!"

To survive in this Modern World ,all cats need be indoor/outdoor

They need to be able to survive eating grass and drinking rainwater

In times,when we are away,we leave a mountain of food(which she ignores)

Return,find her curled up on computer desk,cat content when stroked

You may have seen her on ZOOM rooms-she often flaunts her tail

when leaping away from tendentious poetics.She listens intently-

comes close to the screen when Native American flutes are playing,

walks away when words lack magic or Muse.They say the size of a cat's brain is a pea..

But a cat is whole body attentive from tip of ears to tap of tail.TOOTS is alive,alert-

a lesson for us-that we are not her "owners "as such-just her students in CAT WORLD..

3 am this morning

Darkness and Alexa

warns of rain all day

I walk outside to check

For i love rain in all her moods

Gentle foggy mists Lake District

Grizzly drizzle Yorkshire

Cute Cornwall droplets

All her many languages

This early morning kissed our new plants

Lifted their green faces to the skies

Added moisture to the dusts of pasts

For every rain is new/original

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! MORNING RAIN

3 am this morning

Darkness and Alexa

warns of rain all day

I walk outside to check

For i love rain in all her moods

Gentle foggy mists Lake District

Grizzly drizzle Yorkshire

Cute Cornwall droplets

All her many languages

This early morning kissed our new plants

Lifted their green faces to the skies

Added moisture to the dusts of pasts

For every rain is new/original

Every drop a kiss upon the face

So i walked out like Laurie Lee
