THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

Rob Ayling, yer Gonzo Grande Fromage, writes:

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

CONNECT ZEN VIA LIGHT IN EYES

Smile on lips.Bright alacrity/intelligence

One plays in art and jewelry, improvises poetry

Another sings her way through songlines night and day

(We are all learning from each other)-We play

with wit and humor, words and songs..We hear Muse

then sing along..We are more together than apart..

We heal through Art.There is not a one that is not broken-

Soft and malleable as clay, they re-form their affections

becoming clay masks,sculptures of imperfection,conversations

We learn in every moment-the music and the magic

that is inherent in the diamond facet of our Dreaming..

This is our life on every line-be careful when receiving

Signals that are sent embrace all Heavens in this moment

We can live forever if we change all paradigms dominant

Allow sweet and gentle voices to be heard

If you cannot sing along-at least share your word worlds

Gonzo Weekly #563/4

Gonzo Weekly #563/4

The Actually issue

www.gonzoweekly.com

This magazine continues to go off on strange tangents that I never expect, but I am very happy to see it do so. What is in this issue? 120 pages of Pet Shop Boys, Slippa Presents, Crease, Kurious & Cut Beetlez, Sister Wives, Helicon, Stacked, Crooked Royals, Mark at the Movies, The Gardening Club and oodles more.

And there are radio shows from Mack Maloney and Friday Night Progressive, Mr Biffo, and the Real Music Club, AND Strange Fruit.

There is also a collection of more news, reviews, views, interviews and potoroos who have got new trews (OK, nothing to do with tiny marsupials wearing Scottish trousers, but I got carried away with things that rhymed with OOOOS) than you can shake a stick at. And the best part is IT's ABSOLUTELY FREE!!!

All issues from #70 can be downloaded at www.gonzoweekly.com if you prefer. If you have problems downloading, just email me and I will add you to the Gonzo Weekly dropbox. The first 69 issues are archived there as well. Information is power chaps, we have to share it!

You can download the magazine in pdf form HERE:

LEARNING FROM WOLVES

How they are family based/territoriaL

How they protect and defend their young

Like that swan who mates for life

Like all that lived in habitat prior to us

Dispossessed by our violent presence

We can learn from all pre-us

How to protect and defend our young

How to maintain and sustain our environment

How habitat is as basic as breath

Space to roam, and hunt, feed and sleep

Our homeless would be housed

Our poor fed by public fruit trees

There are ways to care, nurture in Nature

Gaia will outlast our temporary occupation

Earth before-Earth afterwards..
