THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

Rob Ayling, yer Gonzo Grande Fromage, writes:

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

AFTER HER VERSE NOVEL HAD BEEN MADE INTO A MOVIE

We were@the Byron Bay Writers Festival together
having both done time in the Melbourne Poetry Winter
and she told me to "Stop Writing Poetry!"/Astonished,i asked"why?"
"The REAL money is in screenplays.I am richer now than i have ever been in my life"
Later,too soon,we lost her to cancer.Later still,in San Francisco
i was watching cable movies and her MONKEYS MASK came on...
The movie stank.Dorothy Porter's poetry remains magickal
I have not given up on poetry/because it has never given up on me
And this will never be a verse DEADPOOL #3 link.
