THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

SANCTUARIES AND SACRED SPACES

FOR ME-WATERFALLS&RAINFORESTS

Also the lip of the sea as it talks and walks in waves

Sea has always been my solution/when all else

is dry dust bowl politics and wasted words..

To immerse in waves makes one aware of deeper rhythms

Older tides that have washed up on Empires long lost

Older stories told-of pirates and shipwrecks

And rocks that broke the back of proud Captains

Sea washes over me,and takes all torments

I can be a fantasy pirate,explorer of strange shores

In my dreams,i travel.Always by ship.Always by sea.
