THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

CERTAIN ASPIRATIONS SEEM NECESSARY
100%recycling.Gender/race equality.Environmental awareness Perhaps beginning with no packaging/no plastic straws-ending with no advertising/no human detritus.Steps begin/small enough /@village level/to not frighten the horses..Closed System Earth.No moon /Mars base.No escape from the consequences of our choices.Space Junk surrounding our Breathing Zones.Respect for what is left of all that is non-human.Furred/feathered/four-footed.Winged/wilde/wonderfilled creatures.Retrieve DNA of those extinct/exterminated.Mammoths/dinosaurs.Now we need share limited resources(again).Adapt.Mutate.Be@peace with all who share our space.Learn once again-how to be a truly human race.
