IN OUR HOUSE, OUR CAT RULES
SHE DICTATES ALL RELATIONSHIPS
by our supply of her food
If the water is not clean-a scratch
If a foreign cat invades-a sneer
Our cat has mystic powers
We live in awe and fear
She might desert our home
Leave like our last cat
who chose to die rather than obey
when we asked more humans to stay
Whether cats are psychic,or simple tyrants
is a question for another home.
She was Rescued once,and stays
as long as we obey.We agree-
and conform to all Cat Norms
from our Cat Emperor.
