Prog-Rock God and original grumpy old man - Rick Wakeman talks to Weekend Read more: Follow us: @GlosCitizen on Twitter | GlosCitizen on Facebook

IT'S probably fair to say that there has never been another rock god quite like Rick Wakeman.
Because Rick's journey through the glory years and his approach to growing veg, growing older, and getting wiser and apparently grumpier has been one that we all hitched a trailer on to for the ride.
Now Rick is returning to Cheltenham Town Hall with the aptly titled Yet Another Evening with Rick Wakeman, and you can tell who came up with that one; Rick does call a spade a spade.
His continued bemusement and frustration at the world around him is all part of his curmudgeonly charm. His attempts to grow his own vegetables are a continual source of amusement – this is the man who received condolences on Twitter when his solitary sprout finally fell off the stalk. What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
