THE MOST BIZARRE BEATLES FILM EVER

‘The Beatles & WWII’ set for reissue

This might be the most bizarre Beatles film ever, and yes…we are including Yellow Submarine.

Back in 1976, a film called All This and World War II was released and features covers of Beatles tunes by Elton John, Rod Stewart, Jeff Lynne and others set to newsreel images of World War II, and in essence told the story of that war.

Understandably, the film was panned by critics, but it’s absurdity has become the stuff of legend, which is why the film and its soundtrack, which has been rebranded The Beatles and WWII, is being reissued on July 15th. Complete details can be found at GonzoMultimedia.co.uk.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
