THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

Portion not full steak

This is why i LIKE Buffets-

a range of positive possibilities..

like a house of many mansions

each one with a dominant emotion

LOYALTY in a small room,JOY in a huge one

WARM emotions pickle and percolate

whole COOL feelings keep their distance

It does not matter when truth spills

Someone may get burned.McDonalds may sue.

The range of artillery feelings has extended

beyond the range of attention.What we cannot see

does affect us.Every body is professional now-

vulture,rug rat,snake politician ,road kill...

Each has a MONOPOLY piece to have and to hold

until it is GAME OVER,and we can go back

to ignoring the PERFECTLY OBVIOUS

and trust that those LONG SHOTS might just shatter

all these grass ceilings..
