"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

FLAME

I CAME HERE TONIGHT

to celebrate the birthday of my ex-

He would have been 29 today.

We went out on his birthday 3 years ago

He shot himself outside my home

After telling me how i disappointed him

i want to keep this positive.Remember him /well..

so she tires of sleeping with others

in order to have a bed for the night

if she had a job,she could get a car

then a space to sleep in /that is secure

so she works and sleeps in the hospital

and holds on to that job for her life/well

she was brought up in a bar in Boston

she has tattoos and noserings

and a smile that defines the very air around her

she said she would go home and eat

and then return to us/well..
