Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

WELL-FIRST IT IS LEARNING
with a sense of wonder.Elders sharing
Children imbibing.Then limits appear-
personality defects/words askew.
Truth appears outside the House and declaims.
Integration happens in time-to absorb lessons
and grow in beauty,while seeing elders as they are.
Everything may be poetry,but subject to enjambment..
Rhyme and reason may sleep together,but someone
always wants their free verse.Time to hip-hop into the new-
Let Jazz refresh with outsider views.And if Truth and Harmony
become estranged-to seek other examples outside the House.
Growing up is one life.Next is going out..
