Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

WE ARE NO REALITY SHOW
More like Fantasy Island-projecting optimisms
into a neutral to threatening Universe
Refuse to bow to those vicissitudes
of decay to "inevitable"death-more entertain
possibilities of Eternal Life!In this moment,
like waiting for a bus that never comes,we write
letters to each other-to connect and communicate
so that we @least get to enjoy Treasure Island.
Stories fill our time-brave friends,defeating/denying/defying death.
Those with cancer and leukemia,taking chemo to seek cure
Emerging triumphant,or at least among us again
in the shelter and the sanctuary of heart based friends..
