remembers Crimes of Passion ? Not Pat Benatar's album
of the same name,
but Ken Russell's film (RIP), in VF : Days and
Nights of China Blue ,
with Kathleen Turner and Anthony Perkins(RIP), released in
1984 ? Who did not
fantasize about Kathleen Turner in her adolescence and even
later ?The music of this strange cinematographic object was entrusted to Rick Wakeman, who self-produced this album, a reissue that comes to us in full CD, jewel case and booklet as it should be, where we learn that the director was very involved in the writing of music. Unfortunately, the cinema did not give thanks to Ken Russell who ends his career in oblivion. It is therefore one of the hidden virtues of this CD, which is musically a little dated, but paradoxically, makes you want to rediscover the work of this director and the discography of ultra-prolific Rick Wakeman.
