LIKE SHIPS IN THE HARBOR
Like carriages on a train/cars on the road/aircraft in the skies
When news ripples out in this one world pond,we all react
Death of one is death of parts of all of us-whether
Mexico,Yemen,Sudan,Syria
Refugees are us in stone times-asking for soft shelter
If we can love enough to open doors,hearts,eyes,ears,ourselves
We find the broken fit comfortably inside us very well
We recognize what they say as familiar circumstance
We learn the paths of evolutionary love- Philia,Agape,Eros,Platonic
and the million gradations in between.Gardens for butterfly
migrations.
Sanctuary for ocelots.Wild preserves so we can allow ourselves to be
free
enough to allow all others to be free,too..
